It has a Leupold VX III 3.5-10 on it and came with 4 mags. One of which was still in original packaging. Besides missing the original box the gun is like new. Maybe a few more answers will give you and me the solutions. Shooting skill: I don't shoot competitively but do shoot quite a bit. With a number of centerfire rifles, a 1/2 MOA isn't uncommon. Ground hogs at 500 is summerfun. I at least know about using good BR techniques. The 541T and HB not so much as they have inferior barrels and chambers compared to the 541S. Also the forward most barrel receiver pin was moved closer to the bore on the T and HB's. This caused a lot of problems with bulging at the critical chamber bore junction. In fact a lot of these riles were sent back to Remington for poor accuracy.

Aug 24, 2023 · I’ve owned two 541T’s and a 541S. All were extremely accurate. Like 7.62Matt, mine preferred Federal match. However, they were also accurate with Winchester Super X, 38 gr HP, high velocity. I’ve killed a lot of Beavers and squirrels with that combination and a Leupold 3x9AO compact scope. The production years for the 541 s manufacture are from 1972 to 1983. The years of manufacture for the 541 t differ and are inconsistant from author to author. I’ve had a 541T with the lighter “Sporter” barrel for several years. It’s very accurate with 50 yard groups averaging .44 with ammo it likes.
