Jan 9, 2022 · 2004 - 2008 Ford F150 - 2006 5.4L FX4 Crank but no start - I have been trying to figure this out for a few weeks now and I am getting no where. Power- good Fuel pump- primes Starter- turns over motor Tested- Cam shaft sensors, fuses, inertia switch, driver module. Seems to want to start, seems to be getting gas, does... Confirm that you have one terminal hot all the time (B+), and a second terminal hot with the ignition switch in the on position. Put the FP relay back and check the terminals at the PCM relay. If it starts after doing this it is probably the fuel pump relay or fuel pump. If it doesn't that points to the ignition system, maybe a crank sensor.The way to determine if it's fuel or spark is to see if it will start with ether or gas sprayed into the throttle body or air box. If it starts then it's fuel, if not then it's spark and I would suspect the distributor first. But this is just my experience.
